Job purpose:

The Chemical Engineer performs routine and specialized chemical and physical tests. They interpret the results to compile reports, monitor, control and meet recommendations to achieve the optimum chemical conditions, both for current operations and to maintain the integrity of the power and water plant processes over the longer term. The Chemical Engineer should have a detailed understanding of the Chemical and Environmental matters associated with the operation of a combined cycle gas turbine plant, desalination plant and a wide range of auxiliary equipment.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree from a university that is recognized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education
• Fresh graduates (no work experience) or experienced applicants
• A minimum CGPA of 2.5 or equivalent
• If the applicant did not graduate from an English-based track, an IELTs level of 6.0 or equivalent

Job purpose:

The Electrical Engineer will be accountable to supervise a team of maintenance technicians and support staff to fulfil the day to day electrical maintenance activities at the power and desalination plant. In addition to supporting the management of the major outages of the plant through the provision of a gas turbine long-term service agreement, ensuring that the plant meets Safety, Environmental, availability, reliability, efficiency, and budgetary targets.

• A degree from a university that is recognized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
• Fresh graduate (no work experience).
• A minimum CGPA of 2.5 or equivalent.
• If the applicant did not graduate from an English based track, an IELTs level of 6.0 or equivalent.

Job purpose:

The Control Room Engineer will be responsible for plant operations from the control room to ensure the plant meets the required availability, reliability, efficiency, generation and cost targets, safely and within strict environmental limits. This will include regular equipment start-ups, shutdowns, changeovers and regular operation / monitoring, as well as responding to alarms and emergency conditions. The role requires a detailed understanding and practical experience of the technologies associated with operating a modern Gas Turbine plant, Desalination plant and a wide range of auxiliary equipment.

In addition to supporting the management of the minor & major outages of the plant through the provision of a gas turbine long-term service agreement, ensuring that the plant meets Safety, Environmental, availability, reliability, efficiency, and budgetary targets.
